Roblox fans can equip their avatars with iconic, show-based items and solve daily clues to unlock additional perks
SAN MATEO, Calif. – July 1, 2019 — Roblox, a global online platform bringing more than 90 million people together through play, is bringing limited time show-based items to fans in advance of the Stranger Things Season 3 premiere July 4.
Starting July 1 and leading up to the premiere of Stranger Things 3 on July 4, Roblox players can earn limited-edition virtual items by solving riddles and puzzles. In addition, players can take advantage of free, limited-time virtual items for their avatar, including the iconic Scoops Ahoy hat and the Demogorgon mask.
“Our global community includes millions of Stranger Things fans, and we are really excited to reward them with items from this fun collaboration with Netflix,” said Craig Donato, chief business office of Roblox. “We work with brands that make experiences more engaging for our users, and Stranger Things is a great example of that – Roblox users get to ‘live’ their favorite characters, be creative, and adventurous.”
The first two Stranger Things themed items are now live on Roblox and free to download through July 12, 2019. Four additional iconic items derived from the series can be unlocked by solving daily riddles and puzzles, with a new clue each day leading up to the show’s premiere on July 4, 2019. Clues can be found on Roblox’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages, and codes are redeemable on roblox.com/promocodes.
